Sorry but another pre flight test thread
Sorry, I know the Dibb has loads of questions and answers regarding the pre flights tests 🙈 I have been happily sticking my head in the sand and avoided reality 😬
We fly mid July and I know we need a pre flight test done and thats the end of my knowledge. So I need advice on what to book, who to book with and when I should book them. We do regular LFT anyway so used to testing, still all negative 👍🏻 The day before we fly Mason has a early morning infusion so we will be setting off for the hospital at 6:30am and will arrive home mid afternoon. This can’t be changed. Thanks for any advice 😊 |

You can test anytime the day before your flight. You need a lateral flow test with fit to fly certificate. You can do it face-to-face in a test centre, or at home via a video call whilst being supervised. There are loads of options on who to do it with. My personal choice is face-to-face with Expresstest because we have one near us. They're not the cheapest but are very good.

We would be cutting it fine trying to fit in a face to face appointment. I think we will need an online one.
Trouble is traffic 😖 coming back from the hospital can be a nightmare, it can take as quick as 50 minutes or we can be stick for hours on the motorway. I wonder if we could do an online one whilst at the hospital 🤔 |

Is that the £35 one? (just a single Lateral Flow which I assume covers the Fit to Fly requirement)

Would you be able to guarantee to be available for the time slot? I'm not sure how flexible the company would be if anything prevented or interrupted the consultantion ie. if Dr or nurse needed to provide care during that time.
Would you be in a room without other patients? If not, confidentiality may be a issue. I would advise discussing with ward manager prior to booking if you decide to book during this time. Our consultant 3 weeks ago was with DocHQ, very straightforward, would recommend them Hopefully testing will go soon!

Just do it when you are at home after the appointment, you say mid afternoon so book for 5pm?
You can actually do on the day of travel. What time is your flight? actually |
