Booked Yorkshire Dales

We don't fancy going abroad but did fancy a break as DH has been working all through - be it from home, so have booked a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales, hoping we can have lots of nice socially distanced walks with our dog. I am excited but never booked a cottage before.
Does anyone have any must do's with a dog in the area? They cottage is advertised as having extra attention to cleaning but would you do more when you get there?

I'm not sure if this is overkill but we have decided to take our own pillows when we go away soon. Probably weird but feels right to me.

I love the Yorkshire Dale's. We've been there twice, both times in a cottage, last time we took our dog. I googled dog friendly walks Yorkshire dales and found a site that listed circular walks of varying lengths and difficulty. I don't remember the name of the site but I'm sure you'll find it easily.
We've booked a cottage in Cornwall for next month. I thought about taking our own pillow cases , but that was all I could think of that I'm a bit iffy about, and I probably won't .

We had a cottage week straight after lockdown, took our own pillows, I antibac sprayed everything when we got there.
Away next month again, will do the same as it makes me feel better.

Your precautions seem sensible and not ott - we always anti -bac/virus the remote controls wherever we stay even before Covid.
Lots of lovely walks in the Dales. park in Burnsall and walk along the river to Grassington, have lunch and then walk back. The Strid estate is lovely- park near Bolton Abbey (Cavendish Pavilion) and have lunch at the Brasserie at the Devonshire Arms (one of our favourites).
More lovely walks around Malham - nice circular walk from the National Park car park to Janet’s Foss, Gordale and then round to the Cove.
We live closer to the southern part of the Dales so our days out tend to be in this area, but the northern part (Wensleydale area) is also beautiful- lovely cheese.

Depending on where you are staying, Ingleton Falls is a lovely circular walk. It does get busy though and there is a charge for entry. If you decide to do it get there early.

I've not don't it yet but apparently Aysgarth Falls is lovely and you can walk from there to Castle Bolton. Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves was filmed around the area and it all looks beautiful.

This brought back memories! When my kids were little I took antibacterial wipes away and always rubbed everything down when we arrived !

Not weird at all - we have recently booked a cottage in Cornwall and are definitely taking our pillows, pillowcases and we purposely booked a property with a washer/dryer so we can wash the towels etc when we get there. Makes us feel better Unfortunately I could find one that had a dishwasher as well - we will need to wash stuff when we get there

We will stop overnight at a Premier Inn and will have a change of pillowcase for the night.

Also taking anti-bac wipes and it will the first thing we do in both places. I sound really paranoid now reading this back.
