Gift dilemma
Warning! Long post 🙈🙈
My older two children have wanted a double bed for about 12 months. Absolutely nothing wrong with their 3 year old single beds so we told them that if they really wanted one they can ask santa 😉 or put some money towards one. My daughter didn’t want to give up any gifts or money for a double bed but our son said he wanted one for Christmas. We have bought him an Emma mattress and ordered a double bed frame with storage and head board. His double bed frame & head board arrived then two days later another arrived. I checked my bank statement and only one payment has gone out. I have contacted dunelm to explain and they said that they can collect the bed or I can buy it at 50% discount (to save them picking it up). So basically I can get a really good bed frame and headboard for half the cost! But I would have to buy another Emma mattress so it still works out very expensive and I have already bought my daughter her presents. It’s actually stressing me out because I can’t just get her a bed and all her other presents when our son choose this as his main gift. So I tried to get an x box series x... failed miserably and it is looking impossible to get one in time for Christmas. What do I do. Loose the bargain bed (its a really good one) or give it to my daughter but then she has had a small fortune spent on her. If I keep the bed, what do I do about my son? If I could definitely get an x box then that would solve everything but that’s looking unlikely! I need to let them know, pay or return asap so I can’t just wait and see 🙈 My son is so tall he does actually need a bed so I was already feeling guilty about him having one for Christmas rather than a main present. |

Difficult one! Does your DD have a birthday soon? Or just keep the bedframe somewhere safe until it is her birthday maybe?
DD had a new bed last month, although i havent said its part of her christmas i have spent less than i would, but at the same time she’s outgrown toys this year, and you can let loads of pink and rose gold sparkly stuff wuite cheaply so it looks like she has alot! Good luck in your decision!

As it's a bargain can you store it in your garage or somewhere (well wrapped, ) and either save it till her birthday or she can save and buy it when she can afford it, at the discount price and you pay for the mattress

Personally, I would keep both beds and get your son something else, or maybe the money for an x box when they are available.

I would keep the bed and keep trying for the xbox personally. If you aren't successful then give him the money so he can get it when it's back in stock. Its been such a horrible year, why not go nuts if you can afford it. 👍

I don’t know how to link a few posts quotes together 🙈
My husband is all for returning the bed. I am thinking that the kids have had florida snatched away from them this year so why not keep it. Its just this whole x box situation 😪 I never anticipated them to be so impossible to buy 😳 |

I’d keep the bed and keep trying for the Xbox. If you can’t get it, explain you will ASAP.
