When I was a teenager I worked Saturdays in a shoe shop, the type that only displayed the left shoe and you had to ask staff for the pair to try on. Didn't stop people nicking those left shoes... what were they doing with them?!

Used to work on checkouts in Tesco, had people walk out with full trolleys without paying a few times, one walked out with a big screen tv in a trolley once. No morals and bold as brass.

Again M&S, a guy filled a trolley with meat...walked towards the checkouts...then put a receipt in his mouth as if he’d paid, and walked out the back door...luckily the food manager was there..quickly asked the assistants if they had served him...then ran after him as his accomplice had the boot open on the car and they was loading it up!

I work in W H Smith's, we have a lot of items taken from newspapers, books and DVD's.

Before now have gradded bags of books of customers as they walk out of the door.

One story we heard that at our local toby carvery, someone came in and took the turkey of the serving counter and ran out the door with it.

It’s amazing the little things they do that make it look as if they have paid, walking with confidence and even saying thank you to security as they walk past!

These brazen thieves know the police won't even arrest and charge them if their haul is under £200.
