If it was me they could keep the Fast passes - I'd be kicking off big time. They've ruined at least a day, caused lots of stress, possibly spoilt your holiday. I know my 4 year old would never go again if this happened to us.

I'd be pushing for major compensation for this or risk me going to the media about how there are no emergency exits. Minimum lifetime pass to universal and refund of current tickets.

I'm sure the last thing universal would want is people opening doors and falling out in a mass panic. I'm sure I would prefer overheating too broken legs.
I bet if the train was on the floor the doors would of been opened instantly.
Still a horrible situation to be in and I don't think anyone will know how they react until in that situation.

That's ridiculous! I'd be fuming, especially as I'd have young scared kids with me. I'd seriously be having a panic attack I think. You'd think this was pretty basic stuff?!

We were just getting through to go on from island of adventure bk to universal when all crew started shouting lock it down stop scanning so knew something had happened although my autistic middle son had a meltdown because he was through and all commotion around him and him wanting to go on , obviously he does not understand there is a problem the cast let us sit on wall for 40mins saying dont know what has happened but then we did have to move as they said they were starting to get people off the train we got told to go to guest services and blew name through but when we got there they just gave us 15fast passes which i dont need as we have the guest assistance pass anyway so bemused! Now 1 out of 2 having meltdown off the ride doesn't seem that bad hate to think what would of happened if we were stuck on the train with one then i would of really been stressed out never mind my sons. We just left after that and got back to villa

This is so shocking. I would have thought that they would have an evacuation procedure and the ability to provide aircon via some sort of generator. I hope you are all recovered from your ordeal and that this at least serves as a training need.

Rode it again yesterday and the person specifically brought the emergency door release to our attention. But only said it would open the carriage door into the passageway.



I didn't see any emergency signs or buttons to exit the train. Although the staff would be manning these.

It was air conditioned in the carriages, but with no power this would have stopped.

I also quizzed one of the train switch operators on Hogsmeade Station. Initially he made out he didn't know what I was on about, by when pushed said a power outage or maybe even dementors lol.

We were on it on Saturday and I was thinking about how warm it was on it even with the power working .
