Upgrading to annual passes- universal

I’ve asked this before but just making sure it’s still ok as we have Easter booked and I’m thinking of booking end of august 2022. We have got 14 day tickets, if I upgrade on the last day will I be ok to upgrade to season pass? Season pass won’t be valid during Easter that’s why I’m asking can I upgrade on last day? Anyone done this? Thanks

You can upgrade any time, it will start the first day you used your ticket.

My understanding was you couldn’t upgrade it to a season pass if you use it during Easter, but someone please correct this if I’m wrong.

That’s was my understanding too.

There’s a universal passholder Facebook group that the op could ask on.

If you upgrade, it will be a year from the first day your 14 day ticket was used. You'll need the premium pass to avoid Easter blackout dates, however if you upgrade to seasonal on this trip, you can upgrade again at Easter.

I upgraded ours to a seasonal pass on our last day during Christmas 2019. There was no problem even though it was during blackout days.

It's only Seasonal and Power passes that are blocked-out at Easter. So Preferred would be suitable, and a LOT cheaper the Premier.universalorlando/web...blockout-dates

Sorry I can’t give an exact figure, but I think it was around $80 for two adults from 14 day tickets to two seasonal passes. We planned to go back in May 2020 but covid, universal were brilliant and said we can leave our annual passes to run until we return again, which should be this September, but have a feeling I may be begging for another extension!
