Free dining plan for kids - WDW
Receive a FREE dining plan for kids (ages 3 to 9) when you buy a non-discounted 3-night/3-day Magic Your Way package for you and your child (or children)! Magic Your Way packages include a room at a select Disney Resort, theme park tickets, and a Disney Dining Plan.
Budget-savvy families are always looking for ways to cut costs on a Walt Disney World vacation, and now Disney has announced a new offer that seems to offer monetary relief. According to Disney Food Blog, families who book a trip from May 28 through August 30 may be able to get free dining for their kids. Note you will have to book direct with WDW to get this offer. |

Is this a new type of offer for WDW? Never seen them offer just kids before.

I'm guessing this is via the US site as it talks about MYW tickets?

That’s right.
Not related to the free dining offers we get in the UK.

Definitely a bit of a loss leader for Disney. The mentality of many might be 'well if the kids have the dining plan I'd better add it on for myself'.

from the OP it appears that on the 3-day MYW package you're paying a non-discounted rate for your hotel room, park ticket, and dining plan, so this sounds like an expensive way of booking just to get a free kid's dining plan?
But maybe its targeted at the US guests because thats their preferred length of stay on average, so Disney are trying to rake in some extra revenue by offering the MYW package with "free" kids dining plan but the adults are having to pay for theirs when they normally wouldn't bother with a dining plan? On the face of it it just doesn't seem as good a deal as other offers, but maybe US guests don't get great deals at that time of year generally? |
