Landry Card- deferring birthday gift!

Got an email this morning from Landry to say our annual birthday gift has been credited to our account. Great but we’re not going back until December! Well not a problem you can log into your account and defer your bonus! All I have to do is log on in December when we are there and re-activate the bonus and use card as normal! Hope this helps someone!

You never used to be able to defer the Birthday bonus, so that's new.

OK, so just checked the FAQs. The Birthday bonus can be deferred but it doesn't extend the expiration of the reward, it just means it won't automatically apply it next time you use the card (i.e. if you had 2 bonuses and you wanted to use one of them first)

yep - that's what I thought - so if you have a bonus that desperately needs using before expiry, you defer the birthday one, use the other one - but the birthday one still runs out on the 15th of the month following the birthday if it is not used.

Yes I’ve just read the same. By deferring it, all that happens it you stop the bonus being applied on the next use of your card but the expiration of the bonus remains the same.

Yep got the deferred e-mail today, runs out 15th Oct, funny how a lot of us have the same Birthdays, we're on DDp our first week so unlikely to use it, oh well maybe next year
