83 stolen dogs found

I know many of my dibb family are also dog lovers and I can't imagine how devastating it must be to have someone steal your furry loved family member. Fingers crossed the dogs will be returned to their owners.

The dogs were found on a travellers site (about 30 years a mate's dog was also stolen by travellers), and amazingly the travellers were in breach of covid rules (wow what a big shock).

I saw this and wasn’t surprised! The whole theft of pets has got worse in lockdown and should be treated more seriously than property. They are family members.

So heartbreaking, those poor dogs, all frightened and must feel abandoned. Hopefully they all get back home safely. X

It doesn't help that dogs are way overpriced at the moment, being sold for thousands of pounds, which is encouraging the theft. It's really made me reluctant to get a dog anytime soon. Can't imagine having a pet stolen.

This is good and I hope the dogs and their owners are soon reunited, just near me someone was beaten and his dogs taken. I would fight for poppy but she’s a feisty bitch so hopefully she would bite anyone trying to take her!

That is literally few miles up the road from us, am disgusted this happened and really hope they can reunite those poor dogs with the owners!

Prices are high as breeders are just not having litters in the current climate. Demand is outstripping supply, so prices are high.

Unbelievable what is happening. I absolutely love walking my dog, it’s the only bit of exercise I do. Now I’m too scared! I carry a can of deep heat in my pocket and a very heavy metal dog lead doubled over. What is the world coming to! 🤬

Dog Breeders are definitely breeding but there are many not so genuine breeders out there who are puppy farms and cashing in on the situation. Decent KC registered breeders are often selling pups before they are even born because of the demand.

A KC registered breeder would be daft not to breed pedigree dogs that sell from £2,500 upwards.

I would recommend Champdogs for anyone looking for a decent KC registered breeder because they have so much info about the dogs they breed than other sites. I really would avoid pets4sale as many suspect dog sellers on there.

Early Feb 4 dogs were stolen from a dog walkers van. 3 were found and the fourth remained missing, until today when it was returned to the owners.(obviously much more info on this has not been released). I am so glad that some police forces are taking this matter seriously now, to some elderly folks, their dog is their lifeline and perhaps their only companion. I hope in time, laws prevail to put these monsters behind bars, for a good deal of time.
