Licence start/expiration date?
Hi all,
Having a brain fart … have done Alamo OLCI many times but just trying to do it for my upcoming trip and its asking for my licence start and/or expiration date. Is that the dates on the front of the photocard licence? I dont want them to think I've only been driving for 2years! Really cannot remember what I put in last time! Thanks and apologies for the daft question!

Yes I asked this in August and I'm sure I was told it's the dates on the front.

I always put the date against 4a on the front. In my case that's 06.01.2019 simply because I had my second post-70 renewal in January and it didn't even warrant a question at the Alamo barrier.
I passed my test in 1969 and even the dates on the reverse say <22.01.75 There's nowhere on my D/L to suggest that I've been a qualified driver for over 50 years. Mick

The dates are the ones on the front, so for mine its 29.07.2019 - 28.07.2029, but on the back I can have a licence until 2052 - when I turn 70, and then reapply 3 years.
I think they check your licence before leaving the garage anyway.

When you do OLCI with Alamo and skip the counter then the kiosk at the exit barrier is the only place that they check your D/L. I assume they cross -check with the D/L details that you enter in the OLCI form.

I believe, from my recent completion for sis in law, you only need supply one date if you wish. Apparently it's so they can compare the databased dl date at the Out kiosk.
I appreciate the barcode on the OLCI paperwork is adequate to head straight to the garage, but I also complete Skip the Counter as sil prefers to only hand over her dl and paperwork at RSW Out kiosk. If you want to Skip and complete cc details... after OLCI ensure you leave that page open and minimise, click HERE and complete cc info as requested. I know many don't Skip and hand over their cc at the Out kiosk but a Dibber recently advised they were told to return to the desk for cc swipe, first time I've heard that.

That's the expiry date of the photocard NOT your licence which does not expire until you either get banned or hit 70 when you need to reapply.
