would you go to a beach or Bush Gardens ?
We have a spare day.
I have been all set on visiting a beach whilst we are there but I really don't want to travel for hours and hours on our "day off" and have read that the beaches closest to Disney arent that nice so I am now thinking Bush Gardens might be the better option. Can't decide what to do... Is Bush Gardens really worth visiting or is it just a cheaper, paler version of Disney / Universal? |

For us it would be Busch Gardens but I think it depends on what you like. There are a lot of rollercoasters at Busch so if you don't go on them, there's not much else except the animals. There's a nice train but it's closed at the moment (and will be for some time) to allow for a new attraction. That said, I don't do all the coasters..Cheetah Hunt is the only one I go on but OH and my daughters love the park for the coasters. So, it's a matter of preference really, the drive isn't too bad and and I like the atmosphere at Busch. I can't sunbathe due to a skin condition so we don't go to beaches anyway. Have fun, whichever you choose!

For us it would definitely be busch gardens. If you like roller coasters the best ones are there.

I'd pick the beach. It's nice to chill at Clearwater after lots of days in the parks. The drive really isn't that much further and the beach is gorgeous. White sand and lovely warm water.

As someone has already said it depends on what you WANT to do.
Busch Gardens is certainly NOT a cheaper/paler version of Disney or Universal, although it isn't quite as commercialised. It is more of a white knuckle ride park so if you like roller coasters it is a brilliant park to visit. If you like animals then it is also a big feature of the park although we always enjoyed seeing the animals from the train so I hope it isn't closed too long and when it comes back it is just as good or even better. If you don't think that is for you then set off a little earlier and drive to Clearwater as it is on the Gulf Coast so the water is much calmer than on the Pacific coast and you could also have a trip on one of the dolphin boats like the Little Toot.

I would choose the beach without a doubt but the kids would choose BG. They say the rides there are the best.

Thanks for the replies - the dolphin boat ride looks fan but I still don't know what to do - me and my other half love coasters and we have a free ticket to Bush Gardens but our daughter is only 7 and much as she loves coasters too she will be too small for most of them.
