Pass advice pls
Evening
Just wondering what the pass options are when visiting San Diego, LA and San Francisco. Are these worth buying or is it best to pay as you go for attractions?

We had a Gosandiego 5 and it worked very well for us. We saved around 30% and more importantly, never visited any attractions that we would not in any case have wanted to see.
San Francisco, we paid individually for attractions as it would not have worked for us. LA was not applicable as it was Theme parks , Reagan Library , A specific Hollywood tour and RMS Queen Mary.

We visited all three places you mention last August and used the Go LA 7 day card which we bought on Expedia. We used it for the zoo in San Diego and various places in or around LA (Knotts park and water park, Warner Bros tour, whale watching, Tussards, Six Flags, Universal etc). We thought it was excellent value. The advantage of the card is you can use it for multiple attractions each day although most aren't close to each other. We didn't use it in SF and bought things separately as the Go SF card didn't cover the things we wanted. If you plan to go on bikes in SF, we used basicallyfree/ It's very close to the wharf area and was excellent.
We got free entry into all national parks as we had a 10 year old with us. I can't remember which US school grade this was but we asked at Yosemite if we qualified and they confirmed we did. Edited at 02:51 PM. |
