Solo trip to DLP - all lows :-(

Just back from an awful trip to DLP. Ive been there maybe 10 times over the years and this was by far the worst. I always say I wont go back as it always seems cold / bad weather but I decided to sneak in a little solo trip for two nights. Travelled premier on Eurostar.

All lows apart from coming home ( and Eurostar ) that was my high

Cheyenne hotel - boarding everywhere as they refurb. Shop also closed and vending machine in laundry broken. Seemed especially packed at breakfast even with a third of it shut. The refurbed Woody rooms are nice. Wi fi never worked anywhere whilst I was there.

Disney and Studios. So many rides shut for refurbishment. If not shut, they were down due to maintenance. The parks were rammed with people everywhere ( midweek! ) so with so many closures, queues for the few remaining rides were horrendous. Also even more boarding all around the park. Really took away the magic.

It rained heavily all the time I was there. Should have built this park in Spain ! Lol

I got food poisoning / sickness bug on second day. In bed for 24 hours. I had to check out at 11am and hung around till the 6pm Eurostar - which Im sitting on now waiting to leave - cant wait to get home!

Off to WDW next month so not all bad

We've always had good weather in DLP, but we only ever go in the summer or autumn.

oh no. Things are always bad when you don't feel well and just want to be at home in bed. I hope you get home quickly and safely and feel better soon.

Oh no :-( I can sympathise with the stomach bug as I caught the norovirus on my last trip - I started feeling ill an hour or so after I got home and ended up in A&E the following day. So after being off work a week with the DLP trip I was then off sick for a week! I always go to DLP on my own (and will be going to WDW on my own next year) and that sort of thing doesn't help.

The boarding all round the Cheyenne was a shame, but we still thought it was lovely. The theming is great there! The vending machine was working last week too :-(
