Universal hotels

Where does everyone look for their best universal hotel deals? Is there a specific time of year ect? Also what’s the best deal you’ve got at one of these hotels?

I think it’s just a matter of checking various sites and pouncing when you find the best deal.

Some people, myself included, will book with the likes of Travel Republic on a low deposit so we can rebook if we find it cheaper elsewhere.

Sites to check are: Travel Republic, Travelbag, Expedia, BA... I cant think of any others off the top of my head but there are more!

We booked through virgin holidays as a hotel only booking. The price was competitive and the extras like free parking made it the cheapest at the time.

BA sometimes have good deals.
The price can vary greatly depending on the time of year. The longer you stay the better the price.
If you are after an express pass hotelcheck the price at all 3.

I’ve just booked 2 nights at Hard Rock for October next year and the club room was only £15 a night more. That’s well worth doing.

Who was that with?

We have used all sorts, Expedia, Hotels.com for Tesco clubcard vouchers, just shop around. Also the earlier the better the deal I have found.

Hotels.com
We have paid £637 for 2 nights in a club room, a standard room was £607!

Ive just used Travelbag for a night next August at the Royal Pacific and was £258. I have used these in the past with no problems and no additional charges.

I’ve booked direct with the Hotel itself in the past and got the best price that way. Having said that when I stayed at the RPR last month I booked through booking.com.
