Mobile Lounge at Birmingham

Is it worth booking the lounge at birmingham airport? Also what's the food etc like? Never had the lounge before so was wondering. Thanks

I’ve used the No1 Lounge and thought it was good. Early morning visit and lots of cold choices such as cereals, pastries, meats and cheese. I think there was a toast machine? We ordered bacon rolls at the bar and they were tasty. Prosecco and beers in abundance plus soft drinks. We enjoyed it and would use it again at a good price. It was busy but it didn’t feel it. Nice start to the holiday.

At Birmingham No. 1 Lounge you get:

choice of one hot menu item (could be bacon sandwich or sausage sandwich or eggs benedict, usually one of these or something else - something egg, something meat). Then you get as much of the other stuff as you want - cereal, cheese, biscuits ,fruit, yoghurt. Plus drinks, including alcohol.

We get it with our gold status but at £27 I think it's a ridiculous price to pay for it - I'd just go to Wetherspoons.

The Servisair Lounge has a small buffet of bacon, scrambled egg - at least you can go back more than once though the plates are tiny side plates, but also bread, cereal, crisps and help yourself to drinks including alcohol.

For me this is the better of the two lounges (just about) but I don't think either of them are worth what they charge.

Used to get free wifi but get that in the airport now anyway.

No.1 is marginally a nicer environment, but does get busy. Neither have their own toilets so you have to go to use the public ones.

I wouldn't waste my money but I'm a grinch ;-)
