Disney tickets in voucher form!

Hi, has anyone bought their Disney tickets and received vouchers instead of real tickets?

We’ve got a good price for Disney’s 14 day - 2019 tickets but we will receive vouchers only.

We are staying at AOA for our first 3 days, can we change the vouchers to tickets at the hotel or just at the parks?

Also are we able to book our fast passes if we only have vouchers?

Is it worth saving a bit for vouchers or are they too much hassle?

we have only ever had vouchers (we tend to book through VH or BA).

You get given a website to go to to get the code for FP+ etc. We have only ever been able to access the website at 30 days out though (as we do not stay on site) - so would check that you would have access at 60 days out since you are staying onsite.

Changing the vouchers is easy - again as we stay offsite, we have only really done it at the parks. AK seems the most efficient in our personal experience - hand over voucher, they check the validity, they give you tickets - through in less than 5 min (and if you go at silly o'clock due to time difference, it is quiet too - even on Easter Sunday.)

They were really no hassle at all for us.

As you are staying onsite you will have magic bands.

Sign up or log in to My Disney experience and add your ticket reference to there then the magic bands will have the tickets on there for whilst you are staying on site and for rest of 14 days. No need to have actual tickets.

You will have access to fast pass bookings from 60 days out straight away for the time on site and then each day after for time not on site.
