Dining plan
Am considering a trip with family friends in a 2 bed, if we were buying dining plan would we be able to have our own separate plans as we won’t be together all the time, or would it have to be all combined?
Am thinking easier to use TIW if they’re not separate |

Hi
Everyone on the booking will need to have the dining plan. You are given a total number of credits (QS and/or TS) for everyone for your entire trip, but that doesn't mean it all has to be used together. As an example, if 5 of you went for 10 nights, you would have 50 TS credits and 50 QS credits and 100 snacks (assuming the DDP). How you use these will be up to you and you can eat at different places. We went with other people last year and are doing the same this year. When making the dining reservations you just need to ensure different members of your party (on MDE) are making the reservation I believe. We had a few issues booking more than one restaurant at a time this year, which was due to me being listed as the guest on the first booking, once I was removed I could make a reservation at the same time. Alternatively you can ring up to book them. Hope this helps. |

All the credits are pooled to the room, so you can't see the individual plans. As long as everyone keeps track of what they're using and don't use more than their personal allocation, then it shouldn't be a problem.

Is it just me that thinks a good 'gesture' by Disney would be to allow DVC members to have a discount on the dining plan.
Also, it may keep more people in the parks longer, (not good for queues obviously) but then they maybe spend more money while they're in there. Although I know it won't happen of course. Edited at 11:57 AM. |

I know that restaurant attendance is down across Disney and I agree with you that DVC could, should they so wish offer a 10 or 15% discount off the plan.
However in this current climate I think there is more chance of Miss Piggy being the next US President than any discount being forthcoming.
