last minute budget hotel or villa

Hi we are sort of planning another unexpected trip to Florida in June 2017. We did our massive trip last year whilst renewing our wedding vows and were not planning a return anytime soon due to the cost. However my childrens schools have both authorised time off proposed for the last week in June fist week in July. I was originally pricing up Spain but have been tracking the charter flights to Florida

My hubby is doing a Maths degree an has exams April/May and won't get his results till 9th June with resits being w/c 19th June (in case he needs them which I am sure he won't). So we will be booking everything last minute.

We already have esta's valid from last year apart from me as I have a new passport in progress.

We either want a villa or we will go for a budget hotel.

Can anyone recommend any good budget hotels. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids. Otherwise if we go for a villa as I am keen on the private pool can anyone recommend any sites that offer last minute availability.

We are not doing Disney or Universal this year but are going to do Seaworld 3 park ticket.

Personally, I would always choose a villa over a hotel.

Of course, there are always DIBB villas, but availability at last minute may not be great. There are other rental sites out there, like Trip Advisor or VRBO. You shouldn't have a problem finding a villa at last minute.

We booked 9 days before we went last year and booked a Dibb villa. I was also looking at owners direct as a back up plan, as well as one of the many hotel booking sites.
