Anyone else flown Thomas Cook?
Hi all!
We are flying with Thomas Cook from Stansted to Orlando on the 12th August 2018 and was wondering if anyone else has flown with them recently and experienced any issues? We chose to go Thomas Cook after a particularly terrible flight with Virgin on our last trip and we would like to know how anyone else has found Thomas Cook recently! Thank you |

Flown with them to Florida in 2016 and using them again next month.
Absolutely no issues. Flight was on time, cabin crew were good. We were happy with the food etc.

I've flown with Cooks many times over the past 24 months to Orlando and have to say, we prefer them over Virgin!
We've done both PE and Economy, and happy with both! Food was great out! I don't personally get the obsession with Virgin, i think of Virgin like an apple product, everyone has to use it, ... and i don't rate BA Sometimes Virgin are cheaper than TC, so it swings! TBH i usually just book whoever is best value for my dates though! but those are my opinions!

Flown three times PE from MAN. Booked again for Apr 19.
It's a tin tube that gets you hopefully safely across the pond. Also flown BA and VS in the last couple of years and our decision to fly TC based simply on £££. All three flights so far about 15 minutes early. Outbound food best we've had in 35 visits to the USA, inbound the usual dire American stuff. They get some stick on here but surprise surprise so do VS and BA. Just check the plane configuration though as I think some don't have seat back IFE if that's a problem for you. Mick

Flew last trip two years ago and apart from not having our bottle of champagne chilling or any knowledge that we had prepaid it, the flight was ok.. against the majority here tho, I did prefer Virgin and that’s who we are flying with this year again..

I've used them a few times in recent years and been very happy. I think the food is better than Virgin and we've always been comfortable. The IFE isn't brilliant but it's not bad either and enough to keep us entertained! If the price is right i'll be booking with them again for next year

Decent out, with good food.
Crap back this year (Manchester Saturday). Awful food (pasta that was so overboiled it was mush) no seat back screen, and the crappy streaming app wouldn't work with a Google Pixel phone. Luckily I had a tablet full of Netflix. This return flight was Air Tanker- not good.

We've nothing against VS either but when we started looking for our Apr 19 flights TC PE were £1,000 cheaper than VS PE for two of us. Three extra films on IFE and cabin crew in red is not worth that to us.
The only tangible thing I miss about VS is the DS check-in but in May there was only one party ahead of us at MCO. Mick

Yes we have flown with them and everything was fine. We paid for extra leg room seats and they were the best extra leg rooms seats we have had to be honest. Food was edible. IFE was just ok but then again we had i pads etc. I would have no hesitation flying with them again, we are flying with BA this year for the first time as they were the cheapest for our flights - but we are reading bad reviews all over at the moment about them, so it's swings and roundabouts. We just go with whoever we think we are getting the best deal from.
