Car hire after Disney Cruise

I'm looking at various options for our next holiday in September and was thinking of picking up a hire car after the cruise at port canaveral. Anyone have any experience of using the car hire shuttles only I understand the wait can be quite a long one?

There will be 6 of us with 4 drivers so at least 4 of us need to make the trip to show licenses etc. Would I be better booking a taxi from port to car hire place, if so any recommendations?

We have done this many times and we have never had an issue with waiting too long at PC, Miami however was the worst. We are a family of 4 and we all go on the shuttle bus.

We usually rent from Hertz and the shuttle seems fairly good. Once we have turned up and had to join a queue and the bus was full but he said he would drop off and be straight back and he was.

We have also used Alamo & Avis without issue too.

We�ve done it from PC a few times dropped one car off before the cruise and picked another one up afterwards ,using the shuttle both ways never had an issue.

Never waited very long - certainly no more than 20 minutes and have used Hertz and Alamo
