12 Parsecs- Day 5 - Animal Kingdom
12 Parsecs - Day 5 - Animal Kingdom
Us: me (mum - chief planner), Thomas (age 12 - nearly 13) and George (age 11 - navigator) Location: Port Orleans French Quarter Index: here Steps: 25,129 ---------------------- So I was planning on getting up and going for a run this morning but I woke up to the alarm and decided I had tired legs from the walking the day before. We were up nice and early though so had a chance to get a refill coffee before heading over to AK. Once there even though we were there early it seemed not early enough we were running to FoP and the line began outside Avatar world. Luckily the line seemed to move quite fast, lucky because our first FP was starting at 9:20. But the line was less than an hour and the ride is well worth it. Here are some photos I took while standing in line the boys are not morning people. And then the ride Stopped for one of these We then had our Fps for EE and boys were in front row! Excellent. We walked down to Dino Land but both Dinosaur and Triceratop spin were not running. So we did our FP for Kilimanjaro Safari and saw loads of stuff especially like the baby giraffe. stopped for these Rode Kali River Rapids even though it was nearly raining. Then stopped for lunch at Yak and Yeti. Found the beef good but the chicken a bit too sickly. We sat there and tried to formulate a plan to do another ride but everything was really full. So we just did it’s tough to be a bug and left the park. Had some downtime by the pool did some swimming etc. Boys then were adamant they wanted to go to HS tonight, I wasn’t so keen but - oh well. We then struggled with food as per usual in this park. Ended up going to FairFax Fare, wasn’t good tbh but wasn’t burgers the 7layer rice bowl was the best of a bad lot. So now the boys wanted to ride RnR it was a 105 minute wait. They got their own way. 45mins in the line though and they were asking to leave, so maybe I won. Although the experience was made worse by an interesting women behind who wanted everyone to move up because the line was taking to long and it as because people weren’t moving! She also kept telling her daughter the they should be filling in gaps in the line. We got off just in time to watch Fantasmic. Churros should always be eaten when watching Fantasmic. & then the quick dash to the buses thanks for reading

Just started reading your report. Thanks for sharing. Looks like you had a great time: boys mostly smiling apart from those early mornings!
