DFCH - help please

I’ve seen lots of great comments about DFCH. I’ve always booked direct with Alamo, but looking at using DFCH this year. Can I do Alamo skip the checkout if I book through DFCH and can I pay Alamo direct for the full to empty fuel option - we only need one driver, so don’t want to do the Gold upgrade. Yes we've done Alamo through Andy four times in the last couple of years and very easy to do it with him. He will email you the Alamo voucher and a simple link in the email to the on line check in form which generates the bar code.

Ask at the barrier to add fuel service and it will hit your card a couple of days after you get home.

You can add the fuel when you do online checkin/slip the counter. Andy sends an email confirmation with instructions how to complete STC.

as soon as you pay in full, Andy will send you a voucher

on that voucher you'll find the alamo confirmation number (different from the DFCHxxxx number you have from Andy)

go to the alamo us site, and do online check in.
you'll be able to add "fuel service" at that stage.
the estimated charge will reflect that. You won't pay when collecting, but fuel will be processed onto your card when you return said car.

after online check in, you may, or may not be offered to skip the counter. If you're not (and if your pickup location offers this possibility) you'll find a workaround in the stickies (basically, leave the online check in tab open on your browser, open a new tab, right after completing the OLCI, and google "alamo bypass", link title currently reads "Online Check-In Bypass - Alamo Rent A Car"
open that link with the completed online check in tab still open, and you'll be able to complete the skip the counter

but also note that OLCI may be all you need to skip the counter. As long as it displays a barcode at the top, you can proceed directly to the garage (if at MCO or MIA or any location where you can skip the counter)

skip the counter itself is just for adding the credit card for other charges (security, tolls, fuel, booster seats and so on)
