What to take from UK as a gift?

Hi, we fly out Friday and my husband wants to take some things out with us for someone he knows who has not been well (we will be meeting up with them briefly). She does work for my husband and we don’t know much about them despite having met them a few times.

It’s just a token of our appreciation for her work so £20 max and was thinking of some nice food bits perhaps from M&S. Can anyone think of anything nice to take that you can’t get out in Florida?

Thanks all

I would have a spree in M & S.
The blue box of chocolate biscuits, a box of their divine shortbread biscuits, 2 packs of Percy Pigs and a box of 16 mallows. Job done.

Can't you tell I shop there!

Black magic chocolates, Thornton’s chocolates and M&S Jaffa cakes go down very well. Our chocolate is so much better than theirs. Also Cadbury’s fruit and nut

Thank you - I did think of Cadbury’s as I find the chocolate awful over there (apart from mint M & Ms).

And Percy Pigs...yes!

Maybe some of the expats could tell us what they would like in this position.

Although not the traditional ‘get well’ gifts - Some of the things I would add if you were doing an English Mini Hamper (In addition from the chocolate previously mentioned): Tea bags – PG, Tetley or Yorkshire - Carr’s Water Biscuits – Tube of Coleman's English mustard – any brand of Horseradish and traditional Strawberry Reserve/Jams /Marmalade/Honey (you can buy a good selection of ‘mini jars’ from Morrison’s)
I buy all these regularly, but they are what I miss most when on holiday - especially English Mustard
