Bengal Cats
Hi Guys,
Do any of you own a Bengal? I'm thinking of getting a kitten. I have a 3 year old Maine Coon who is very affectionate and playful. I am tempted to get another but my other half fancies a Bengal partially for the personality and partly because he has read they shed less. I wonder how much of this is true? Prudence does tend to shed a lot (normal amounts for an MC) and it fluffs about in the air... Thanks Shoei |

I have a Bengal, she does moult but it's very fine so not very noticable.
My advice is to do alot of research on breeders before hand. My girl has a genetic disease which is common in Bengals and anxiety issues, mainly hair pulling. She had all her papers, had the common tests and I saw her parents. I've found looking at Bengal forums and groups that anxiety seems to be common. I love her to pieces but she is hard work x

We have two Bengal girls , sisters from the same litter, very vocal cats, hypoallergenic but ours do shed but wouldn’t change them for the world, very affectionate and like a dog follow you everywhere, they hate closed doors but Bengals are amazing, they do tend to have sensitive stomachs so take care. They also stay very playful all of their lives and you know what they are so clever you can train them to sit, stay, give a paw etc.

We had a snow spotted Bengal and he shed a lot .
He was lovely and affectionate but he was so naughty and crafty and you couldn’t take your eyes off him. He was VERY vocal too , the noise used to put my nerves on edge |
