Should we get a cabana and if so where?
So next time we go Orlando the grandparents are coming with us, they don’t like all the rides/slides and prefer to relax, however they do like to feel included and watch the kids enjoying themselves.
We decided a cabana would be a great way of having our own little ‘base’ where we can all relax, eat drink etc... however torn as to where the best place to get a cabana is. We’re going Discovery cove and Volcano bay. Part of me thinks discovery cove because of the dolphins and it’s so beautiful, then the other part of me is thinking Volcano bay as we get our own ‘screen’ where we can book on to the slides at the cabana instead of running round the park to get in line, to then walk back again to our seating area and wait. Has anybody ever got a cabana at one of these places and have a preference? Or is there any key differences between the 2 cabanas? Thanks |

We have had a cabana at discovery cove and we loved it. It is your own private area and you have your own dedicated staff member who will come in regularly and restock the free drinks and snacks. However discovery cove have lots of sun loungers spread throughout the park and these are great also, there are so many often there are not many people about because they are doing activities. We haven’t had one at volcano bay but this park is normally full to capacity early in the day so maybe this would be the one that a cabana would give you a private area. Sorry not much help but not having cabana at discovery cove would not ruin your experience.

Thanks for your help! You make a good point as I have been to Discovery cove before and they do have ample chairs for people to sit on, unlike Volcano bay. Are the cabanas at Discovery cove shaded aswell? When looking at photos it appears so and one person is a sun worshipper!

Yes they are shaded and very private. Ours overlooked a group doing a dolphin swim.
