Just finishing watching it now. What a man.

It did make me think about how his songs have taken on new lives in live action films, but not necessarily in a good way. He seemed so particular and focused on getting the songs perfect. It bothered me that the documentary literally ended on a snippet of live action Beauty and the Beast when his passion was clearly writing for the animations.

Any thoughts?

Watched this earlier today.
Thought it was interesting and he had a great talent sadly cut short.
I must admit i shed a few tears.
Didn't like the suggestion that the Mob Song in Beauty and the beast was written as an allegory to his feelings related to being gay/ having Aids. His sister strongly refuted it too and said that his whole focus was on the film and the story it told not his own life in any way.
He has left a lasting legacy in his songs and a shame he didnt live to see the huge success of Aladdin and BATB and carry on his success.

Watched this yesterday and found it really inspiring, such a gifted and creative lyricist. Absolutely heartbreaking his life was cut short by AIDS and that he felt the need to hide his illness until the very last moment.

It was very interesting - I really like the Little Shop of Horrors musical and didn't really connect him with it until now.
