I’m working from home, it’s very muggy here in Hertfordshire, I’ve got a day in the office tomorrow which I’m looking forward to as we have aircon 😀

DH is working from home, we have a home office in a detached converted garage. So he is in there and suffering even though he has a fan. Today he has ordered some temporary paper blinds to go on the glass of the door In the hope of keeping some heat out.
I did fear for home workers, my south facing back bedroom/office is unbearable.

Our dog hasn’t been anywhere but the garden for a quick toiletting and sniff, for a few days now.
Way too hot, he’s just sleeping and spending a lot of time on his cool mat.
Agree, we had a family garden makeover for husbands mum yesterday as it was her birthday, only 9 of us, big enough for 3 tables separate, we took our little pup as didn't want to leave him at home, he was well shaded (her garden very shaded) here he is in his ice towel, I just get it went and pop it in the freezer, he loves it laying on him and goes to sleep with it on, then lies on top of it all snuggly, I thought he wouldn't sleep last night with all the day time sleeping but he still went through

Disney 332, I'm on the South Coast too, Parkstone, Poole, it's super hot. Currently sat at my desk (very awkwardly as pup choses my feet to be near and my office chair has wheels!) with the fan directly next to me, no air coming through the windows at all!

And we've a couple more days of 33° heat predicted (currently 34.6° outside and 27.4° inside). 🥵🥵🥵

I nearly missed the rain, as I was in the shower, but didn't hear any thunder... saw the tailend of the rain though and it was pretty torrential (came in the bedroom window and soaked the windowsill). A friend that's nearer town than me didn't get any rain at all. Weird, must've been a small thundercloud.

Me too Tom, envy the rich with their air con houses 😄🤭

What about the poor people "retiring" at home. Highlight of this morning was Tesco click & collect - two 10 minutes journeys with car's a/c on max low.
