I felt a bit funny taking a tripod into the parks first of all, but would not hesitate again, it's well worth it for some of the shots you can get.

Are the gorillapods any good? I've been out today taking shots of blurry water with my tripod. I'm not sure I want to carry one around Disney but I can definitely see that I might want one. I'm wonder if the gorillapod might be a decent alternative?

I also use the 2 second delay when using my tripod.

When taking pics of fireworks, should I put camera to firework setting ? Or does this not make ant difference ? X

It will make a difference, it will set the shutter speed to a slow speed which is what you need for fireworks. if you have the ability to change your shutter speed manually, then you could do it yourself, to get even greater control. Either way, it means that you need to have the camera very still or the picture will blur.
