Getting from T3 parking to T5

We currently have our long stay parking booked at T3, however as our BA flight has moved to T5 I just wonder, is it easy enough to get from T3 to T5? There is more than £100 price difference to swap the parking

Sorry can’t help but this is crazy isn’t it, for official Heathrow parking they should move without cost imo.

If they move American flights back to T3 we’ve now got to get there from Sofitel at T5 with all our luggage. We paid a premium to stay there as it’s the only onsite hotel so can walk through. I’m hoping maybe our flight won’t change but rumours suggest they’ve already notified staff.

I just about to ask exactly the same question. We're staying in a hotel by T2/T3 long stay carpark, so was just going to drop the car over there in the morning and then head off to the terminal. But, like many, just found out that our flights have changed terminals again.

I don't know Heathrow very well, but just checked the website and it says this, so it doesn't seem too hard:

Free London Underground services and shuttle trains (Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express) are available for inter-terminal transfers between Heathrow Terminals 2&3 and Heathrow Terminal 5.

Please note that a Transport for London Oyster card or contactless payment mechanism is required to activate the ticket gates on London Underground services, but you won’t be charged for your journey as long as you only travel between terminals.

If you are using Heathrow Express or Elizabeth Line, please obtain a free inter-terminal transfer ticket from one of the machines in the station for your journey.

Average journey time: 20 minutes

I think that’s what we’ll do, just a pain do have to cart luggage with us since we booked a hotel in the terminal for ease.

T2/3 long stay parking is a bit isolated. Your options are:
  1. Car park shuttle to T2/3 and then tube/HEX/Elizabeth Line to T5 as you've found above.
  2. Taxi/Uber from car park
  3. The 423 bus goes directly to T5 from near the T2/3 long stay, but depending on where you are in the car park, it might be a bit of a walk with luggage out to the bus stop on the Eastern Perimeter Road.

On balance, unless you change your car park to T5 long stay, I would probably just suck up the journey on car park shuttle and Tube/HEX.

it depends where you have parked as they may offer transport to other terminals,.

consider the public buses that run around the airport as only £1.65 each way

it is very easy to transfer between terminals on the Heathrow express, they run every 15 minutes

Checked the long stay price at T5 today and it’s come down a lot, £30 more to swap from T2 parking to T5 now
