You can still get tested at the port if you prefer, it'll just cost you $74 plus tax each.

I much prefer it, at least if we do test positive we won't have driven out to PC and be staring at the beautiful ship we're not allowed to board!
We tested in January before leaving WDW anyway, had either of us tested +ve we wouldn't have driven to the port.

Will they do it now though? 🤔
There will be lots more UK people wanting tests! We've still got to find somewhere to get a 1 year old tested too! 🙄 I really hope they scrap them soon...

I'd love for it to be dropped but I think testing to cruise will be one of the very last things to go and will probably be around well into next year.

I’m sailing on the 19th August. What happens if we test positive for covid? I’ll have been in the US three weeks before our cruise. 😬
ETA I know we won’t be getting on the ship if we’re positive, but I was under the impression we’d be offered refund or rebooking credit. These recent changes have confused me.

You still get a refund or rebooking credit as far as I'm aware.
Just a warning, we got back from 2 weeks in Florida last week. We were super careful - still wearing masks and sanitising like crazy - but still managed to pick up COVID. My sister started to feel grotty on flight home and tested positive the following day. Both myself and her hubby have since also tested positive. It is a possibility that you could end up positive after this time so its worth confirming the options. As said though I read it as you would still get the refund or rebooking credit.
