Urgent brownie help
My dad has been making brownies, they look really greasy like there is a slick of oil on the top. They are in the oven at the moment are they ruined?

I wonder if the chocolate butter mixture was too hot or maybe not enough flour😳 He's 17 but still upset. He is trying again when he's back from school tomorrow |

Might be the method as you add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture. Maybe it was too hot? Sometimes things just go wrong. I have a very bad relationship with macarons! I often end up with a giant boiled sweet at the bottom of my bowl with meringue on top!
Hope the next batch go ok for him

Hummingbird Bakery chocolate brownies are my favourite and so easy to make! The ingredients are similar to those he's used so fingers crossed he may have spare to give them a go. The recipe is in the link below, I also add a bag of chocolate chunks at the end for extra chocolateiness

What chocolate did he use? Sometimes the cheaper chocolate has oil in it that comes out if used in large quantities.
