So we've booked the BA MAN-MIA flights and as we dint land until 19.35 we will be wanting a hotel pretty near to the airport for our first night.
Anybody got any Recommendations?

We are on the MAN-MIA flights too landing at 7pm. We have booked the Doral Inn which looks to be about a 10 minute drive from the airport, we have not stayed there yet but it looks nice and was a reasonable price. Gets good reviews too and includes free breakfast.

I've seen that and can get it for about £50 for the night we land. Just wanted recommendations really, especially the area it's in - if it's OK or not. I noticed there are a few restaurants on the next road so could well be an option.

We've used the Sofitel - for overnight and a day room postcruise. Used airport shuttle from arrivals.

We stayed at the Pullman Miami Airport in April this year on the night before our cruise. We took the free shuttle from the Airport - took about 5 minutes.
The rooms were very comfortable, there was a coffee shop and restaurant on site and breakfast was included. Would definitely stay there again

We also stayed at the Miami Pullman. We collected the car and drove from the airport so we were ready for the drive the following morning. A very nice hotel with everything we needed on site.

We stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Doral, 15 minute drive from the airport. Cheap and spotless clean

You may want to consider the time difference. By the time you get done at MIA and to a hotel your body is still 5 hours ahead and thinks it early hours of the morning. Last thing on your mind is proximity of restaurants you'll just want sleep. And more than likely you'll probably wake up next morning at silly o'clock way before they start serving breakfast so possibly better to get on the road to beat Miami rush hour and get breakfast on route. Last time we did this we were awake at 5am, straight in the car, leisurely breakfast an hour outside Miami and in Orlando by 9.30-10am

We've been many times and I assure you, we want to eat. We've had Chinese take-out at 9.30pm before now when we've only got to the condo at 9pm.
My main worry about at a hotel that night is if there isn't a balcony as I am always the first one up by a long way and there will be 4 of us in the room. I'm usually up about 3.30am but the DSs sleep until about 7am. I will need somewhere to go rather than just lie in bed in the dark. We're not sure what we will do n the first day yet or even if we will have 2 nights in Miami so not thinking about rushing up to Orlando for the time being.
