being dim?

So we are off to WDW for 2 weeks in August, staying in a villa. We have toyed with the idea of each time we stay in a villa to stay one night in a nice WDW hotel just to "test out" the resorts (we have stayed in OKW a few times and love it, but staying 2 weeks in one room - someone isn't getting out alive!)...

I have just been looking at prices for one night if we booked the hotel direct, and for a sensible deluxe (not interested in Pops etc) we would need to pay £3-400. So we started discussing the possibility of renting DVC for one night - but I have NO IDEA how to do it or what it would entail?

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether it's even possible and where I would find out how many points are needed/availability etc etc?

There’s a thread on here about David’s DVC Rental - we’ve used them for our 2 night stay this year. There’s loads of info on their website and you can clearly work out the costs involved. There are other agents that can be used, and you can also put a request on here.

David’s do say they have a minimum points booking, but we booked for less than that - worst case is you pay the deposit and they can’t help - you get your deposit back. We’ve booked 2 nights in a studio at Bay Lake Tower for less than the cost of 1 night booking direct with Disney.
