Esta question
My DH Esta expires on 23rd August- our return flight home is on 21st Aug ( land UK 22 Aug)
If for some reason we are delayed and have to get flight the following day- will dh still be covered or should he renew to be on safe side?

You only need a valid esta for entry, so you would be fine. That said I’m always worrying about these things and would get a new one, with the plan to use it again in the future anyway 😀

As Disney Bear says, ESTAs relate only to travel TO the USA not FROM. It only has to be valid on the day of entry (plus perhaps an allowance for the flight to MCO being delayed a day or two - strikes, weather etc).
Your passport on the other hand has to be valid up until the day you leave the US. |
