Free HB / CheZ Remy / Sequoia golden forest/ golden forest suite
Am looking at booking Sequoia Lodge for 2 nights end of June (Golden Oak) - and am trying to work out if we can use the HB deal to eat at Chez Remy
We're 2 adults and dd 16 yrs (16th birthday treat ) Have I got his right, if we're staying at Sequoia Lodge, we will get a meal voucher "Plus" which is valid in; Captain Jack’s, Silver Spur Steakhouse , The Steakhouse, Manhattan Restaurant, Parkside Diner, Yacht Club, Cape Cod, Hunter's Grill, Annette's Diner and ... Bistrot Chez Rémy. Does that sound right? The plan is (on paper as haven't booked yet) to upgrade to golden forest to get the hotel fast pass and hotel buffet breakfast and then use the HB deal to grab the HB breakfast offering as late as permitted (11amish or whenever). Golden forest =£1130.00 But im sorely tempted by the golden forest suite where you get all of the above plus the VIP fastpass £1295.00 Edited at 03:55 PM. |

Yes, that’s right about the plus level restaurants including Chez Remy. Just be aware when ordering that you need to order from the Emile Menu, which is marked as ‘plus’. They also offer a Premium set menu which you would have to pay extra for, and other menu options for paying in cash.
I’m not quite sure what your plan is about breakfasts. Are you thinking of getting a Golden Forest room with GF breakfast, then using the HB meal plan to get extra breakfast vouchers to use later in the morning for an early lunch? I’m not sure if they will let you do that. If you have a Golden Forest room with breakfast included, and add a meal plan, then they will usually discount the cost of breakfast from the cost of the meal plan so that you’re not paying twice. If you mean that you have the free HB and are planning to upgrade to GF, then I’m not sure how that will work. I’d imagine that if they are offering GF rooms with free HB, then the cost will reflect the fact that you are only getting the GF breakfast and not the free HB breakfast as well. And if I’m wrong and you’re not planning to get two lots of breakfasts at all, then just ignore my ramblings!

HB breakfast isn't worth changing plans for imo. When we went it was only offered in restaurant coulisse in studios so we'd have had to change our whole plans for the day to get it. It was either a bread roll (bland), pastry, coffee and juice or some sort of breakfast burger.

Thanks , do you think
Thanks for replying - much appreciated.
Do you think it’s worth the upgrading to the suite just for the vipfastpasses? We want to go on as many rides as possible. |

For £100 extra then I'd definitely go for the suite

It depends on how busy it is, and how many of the bigger rides you want to go on.
I’m guessing from your post that you’re keen to go on all / most of the fast pass rides, so that would make me lean towards the suite. For us at Christmas, it would have been wasted, but we did appreciate having the DLH hotel fast pass. We used it for one big ride each day, and that was enough for our unadventurous family to do all the big rides we wanted. In fact, we even turned down an offer from a lovely CM who was chatting to my girls and offered us a pixie dust fast pass for the Studios! My friend did point out that we should have accepted it and given it to her! If you’re planning to go on all the fast pass rides and return to your favourites, then a VIP fastpass would be easily worth €100 to you. The only way it might not be worth it is if the park is quiet and the queues are short anyway. I know it’s during U.K. term time, but I don’t know about European schools. Summer will obviously be fairly busy anyway, so I’d still lean towards the VIP fastpass being worth it for you. I’ll see if I can find the calendar that shows how busy they expect to be on any given date and post it below if I find it.

Here it is, and late June looks pretty busy. I’d get the fast passes!

That’s odd. I thought most school holidays were from 30 March - 16 April, so I’m not sure why 9-13 are expected to be busier than the rest. It does say the calendar is based on previous years as well as school holidays, special events, etc, so maybe it’s been skewed by Easter dates in other years.
