Booking for 2021
Apologies if this has already been asked and I can see a few threads on it but this is more specific to me and new holidays for next year. Has anyone that HASN’T booked this year booked for next year? My heart goes out to those who have been effected this year. We were going to go this year but hubby wanted to wait one more year. I’m so glad now. Question is, do people think it’s safe to book for next year? Wondering whether Virgin will have its 10% offers as they normally do. I know it will be a while before things go back to a new ‘normal’ but need something to look forward to. Looking at May 2021 and will book when I find the best deal. Thank you.
Edit: Not doing Disney parks, only Universal as I’m aware of it being extra busy due to the 50th celebrations.

My personal opinion is that it’s still risky booking for next year while we’re in the middle of this. For me it’s insurance that’s the issue so if you can book with deposit only and risk only a small amount then I think it’s reasonable to book but I think I would hold off.

Im considering it but havnt pressed the button yet! There were some awesome flight prices for feb 2021 which my oh was very keen to book but they were with klm and i know others on here have been badly treated by them in the current situation. Virgin and ba seem to be offering flexable tickets so think if i do book ill be booking direct.

I have a deposit on a villa for April 2021, but I'm seriously considering moving it to 2022 now. I just don't think its going to be a 'normal' Florida holiday

I’m planning on booking for end of August next year. I’m just going to pay deposits though then nothing else until money is due. Need something to look forward to!

Hopefully, it's over a year away and a lot of things change as we have seen already.

I have a deposit on a villa for the end of May 2021. Was planning on booking a flydrive once flights became available but given the current situation I am thinking of moving it to 2022. Currently there has to be a doubt about the whole Coronavirus situation until there is a vaccine, there are big problems trying to get insurance, ESTAs, doubts about the viability of airlines etc.
Additionally there are 10 of us going so a lot of money to risk. |
