New York Plus Cruise Back on QM2
Hi All
Well, I thought I better actually try to write something. To tell you the truth this just aint my style. I've never ever written anything like this before so it could be a hit or it could be a miss... Anyway, We must be right bonkers me and the wife. Not back off our Summer 09 hols from Orlando to long and we've gone and booked for 2010. Well we do like to plan ahead. Last week I was messing around on the net pricing up some crusies with Cunard from New York to Southampton and I got offered a good deal. Mailed the wife and hey presto 2 hours later we were the proud owners of a brand new 2010 Holiday. The Details: Heathrow to JFK with BA 5 nights in New York staying at the Marriot Marquis Times Square. and it is right on Times Square. The transfere to Queen Mary 2 for a 7 day Crossing back to Southampton. We now have to task of outfitting ourselfs for the 7 days crossing with Cunard. Now we dress like most others so we are now having to go and buy a load of clothing for the Liner. Evening suits and dresses suits, smart wear etc etc etc. At leastI can slum it for 5 nights before hand hehehehe. We are also trying to see what we want to do for our time in New York. I really want to go China Town and Canal Street but aside from that I really dont know, The Empire State Building I think is a must as is a sail past of The Lady herself, Libity. Oh, and I quite fancy a Helicopter flight over Manhatten. Anyway, we have over 400 days to go yet as we are not going till October 2010 eeekkkk. Thanks for reading, and hope it was not too much of a bore. Gary |

We are thinking of booking the QM2 going to New York then transfering to Orlando. Please let us know what it is like and how the crossing is.
Have a good time. Jonathan

Sounds like a great trip = would love to know how you find it being on the ship with no stops for 7 days...
