Which State Park around Bradenton area?

Which state park is the best to visit around The Bradenton area, is it safe to swim, surely there must be Alligators in the water! Would. Love to see some wildlife and explore

Myakka State Park is well worth a trip. Lots of gators, bird spotting, bicycle & kayak hire and a trip on a large airboat (think it was the largest there is but it is not a quick one). I would NOT swim there though!

Fort Desota (voted best beach in USA at a stage) is only over the Sunshine Skyway from there, fab park.

We went to Robinson state park at Bradenton, beautiful but not sure if I would venture into the water.

Yes probably wont be going in the water, I know some parks have tubes for people to go in, surely there must be alligators. I have looked at the suggestions and they look lovely
