Looks amazing! Loved all the photos, especially seeing Bath and Body works and Red Lobster. How lovely that you got away and had a great time, thank you for sharing with us.

I’m just trying to plan my trip now. I’ve think I’ve decided to split the stay and do a hotel on the beach all inclusive in Deira or Ras el Khamai for 5 nights and 5 nights in a central hotel for exploring. What’s the best area to go for? Was thinking Marina or palm? Stayed at Jebel Ali last time, so wanted to be nearer. Also most hotels offer a half board option for around £500 more (for 4 people for 5 nights) is it worth doing that or better just to stick with the bed and breakfast?

weve stayed in most areas of Dubai, i would say the only problem with Palm hotels it the amount of messing round and time it takes to get on and off the palm every time you go out. most have free shuttles to the malls etc but it can be 30-40 mins each way. we stayed at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, and while it was a lovely hotel, it did get a bit much getting on and off the palm everyday.
Depending what you want to visit ,i would pick a hotel near the sites you want to see... unless you dont mind the free shuttle on and off the palm. We just go B&B now and make use of Entertainer app for meals, free to eat where we like ( as long as the restaurant is on the app). only you can decide if being tied to the hotel for meals is worth it ?. Were happy to go half board if its included for free, but i wouldnt pay for it to be honest. |
