DOnt think that will matter if they were both approved. With boosters going along, most people will have mixed jabs.

Its already been mentioned that that a white house briefing mentioned they class "fully vaxxed" as 18+

Kids 12-17 are also technically fully vaxxed per their country guidelines but they're likely to be exempt from the requirements based on the definition

I must have missed this, I’ve been following all the threads on here mentioning vaccination status for children closely but I haven’t seen any other confirmation of this.

Am I getting confused and this is just semantics (fully vaccinated adults) or have the White House or CDC definitively said what you state in your second paragraph, that kids 12-17 are technically fully vaxxed even with one if that’s the country’s guidelines? And that they’re likely to be exempt?

I’ve seen a lot of speculation and people’s opinions on this either way on this but if it’s actually coming from the US government I’ll be over the moon and crack on with planning .

I think I got a bit swept up in all the excitement and now I’m definitely feeling in limbo. I’ll be really disappointed if we can’t go at Christmas through no fault of our own because the decision on vaccinating teens was taken here much later than other countries. But I do have Easter and August as back-ups and hopefully by then my teens will be fully vaxxed anyway, although I really hope we can go in December.
You dont by any chance have a link to said PDF?

No, the person who posted just quoted the relevant part because they said they couldn’t link it. I’ll have to go through all the threads I’ve been checking which could take a bit of time but I’ll do it ASAP .

I’ve gone through the threads I thought it was in and found this in this thread (page 17 and 18) :

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...203996&page=17

Northwich said: (post 170)

Just with the vaccination for children, those children not eligible for the vaccine will be allowed to travel, and for children who are only being given one jab will be fine as fully vaccinated is defined as fully vaccinated by your home countries standards.

And then post 174:

It’s in one of the briefing packs that I’ve seen but can’t link as was sent by pdf, it should be added to the U.K./US gift websites in the next 24 hours

That was Tuesday evening and the information still hasn’t been posted to the government websites.

I thought the actual quote in the pack was then posted but I think that may have been in another thread by a different poster and I can’t find that at the moment. I did see someone else said the information had been in a pack sent to the travel industry so at least one other person saw the relevant post and I didn’t imagine it. A lot of threads got merged on Tuesday so I’m going to have another look but if anyone else has seen the quote and can help out that would be great 😊.

Quite a lot of us have plans up in the air atm.Hopefully we will hear soon as like ourselves a lot of people are in limbo. Our situation is a 12 year old who doesn’t want the vaccine. The US did say November as they want to give the airlines time , hopefully the finer details will follow shortly. Hopefully then we can all book 🙏🇺🇸

I think as far as the vaccination requirement is concerned, I am not sure they will define this as such. What they may do is define "vaccinated" as either the definition in the country from which you are flying. Or the USA's definition. It is hard to see them coming up with something different.
