Three and Go Roam?

What's the situation with 3 and Go Roam? If you take out a contract before 1 October will Go Roam continue while you have the contract?

I've used the Pay as You Go Sim on previous trips and found it excellent.

That’s what it says. I renewed my pay monthly advanced in July for 2 years and says it will continue to be offered for length of contract.

I renewed the other halves contract in August, so the free roam is good until August 2023?

Yes until you upgrade your contract I’m on sim only so I just won’t upgrade it n still be able to use it.

Just thinking about getting a sim only 24 month contract for the US. How easy is it to work in a dual sim phone.

Only likely to need it outside of parks to order an uber if no wifi

Is it clear what happens if you continue your contract after the 2 years and don't upgrade etc? I know that won't make sense if you have finished paying for a phone, but one of our contracts with them is sim only.

I had to contact 3 to renew DD and DHs 12 month, sim only contracts as they were due. I did this before 1 October so they will still benefit from Go roam for another 12 months.

My current contract is due to expire in the middle of our holiday next year so I asked if I could take out a new, more expensive 12 month contract now but was told there would be an early exit fee of £50+ so I declined.

I asked what would happen if I just did nothing when my 12 month contract ended and the guy from 3 said that, because I currently had a discounted 12 month deal, when it ended I would automatically be put on to a standard monthly rolling tariff and this would technically be a change of contract so I will lose Go roam. He didn’t seem 100% sure though, I wish they would just publish something clear so we all knew where we stood.

It looks like I’m going to have to find a new provider, with a half decent priced roaming add on, just before we head off on holiday in June.

The reason I ask is that about 3 years ago we got a very good deal on a SIM only, data only contract. When the 2 years was up, nothing happened, we kept paying the same price and kept getting the same data (other than those annual inflation price rises).

As it happens we've just changed it to an unlimited data contract and it would be great actually if we had forever Go Roam on it.
