Christmas/New Yr Beach Day

We've had 5 or 6 trips to Florida over Christmas/New Year, though none in last 10 years as our last trip it was blooming freezing! We had to scrape frost of the car before leaving for the park. I've actually turned down the offer to go this New Year. DH said if I wanted to go we could. I just couldn't bear the chance of it being cold. It's cold and dreary here and definitely don't want to spend New Year where there is the chance of it being cold! Every other time we went it was lovely though. Back then we went every second or third year. I do remember the following winter that we went when it was cold, that it was even colder. I want to say this was 2009 and 2010?

We're off to Tenerife at New Year, where I'm hoping it will be hot!

December 2009 & 2010 were abnormal for Florida; a weather fluke (jet stream was doing the opposite of what it was supposed to?).
Not saying it wouldn’t happen again but those winters were agreed as not the norm and (hopefully) very rare.
