Flights from Orlando to memphis
Hello x
We have at last booked our flights for 2023 24 nights.. we are hoping half way into our holiday in Orlando to fly to Memphis for a few days as it’s a dream of my moms to go there... A few questions Has anyone done this to Memphis or anywhere else in USA. Can you leave hire car at airport, and how easy is this to do? How long do you think is enough time in Memphis, we are thinking three nights maybe? Thankyou for your help |

Simple to leave rental car at the airport. Just park it and head out. Like your own car - check how expensive to take back and take another as sometimes it can be cheaper but I found it was cheaper to have it and park up for a few days. No issue at all though.
Graceland can take a day - depending how much you do (if anything) - tour of the house, airplanes, museum - you can just do the house and shop but if you are fan you should do more. Allow at least half a day depending on level of interest The Civil Rights Museum is good - a good history of the movement and the motel where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. We spent a good 3 hours here Sun Studios - interesting if music is your thing - tour of the studios where Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash. Stand in the studios where they started out Stax Studios - still on my to do list Beale Street - great places to eat and listen to music You can take a boat ride on the Mississippi If time is short you'll see a lot in 2 days, 3 days is more comfortable - my friend lives there so I've pretty much done one or two 'things' each visit Have an amazing time (at last!)
