Hi, I have mild-moderate tinnitus more in my left ear. Noise cancelling/ reduction ear phones may be nice, it works for me but I have read others saying that it makes the ringing more noticeable. Also some persons use a white noise machine (think clock radio with that feature) which might also be comforting.

Also interested in this thread for myself!
BTW, has anyone used that 'Calmer' product from Flare audio; it describes as giving some tinnitus sufferers relief, but I did not want to recommend having no idea about its effectiveness. |

I've had tinnitus for years and the only thing that works is distraction.
The minute I see the word tinnitus the noise starts

Mine is terrible at the moment, trying to get to sleep and the noise is terrible, sounds like the dawn chorus going off on repeat.
Would love some tips on how to relax at night and somehow “block” this noise.

Seems quite a common condition. I had no idea before I started with it just how common it is. I remember reading about it last year thinking god I hope I never get that 😲. Feel like it’s all in my mind but my ears keep popping and squelching so I’ve been diagnosed with eustacian tube dysfunction but I’m not convinced. Mine is in my left ear mostly.
Sorry op I seem to have hijacked your thread with symptoms. Hope someone has ideas for a good pressie 😊 |

I've had it over 20 years. It's gone mad now because I am thinking about it. The only thing that has worked for me is an app that plays ocean sounds. Noise cancelling headphones just make it worst for me unfortunately.

I have had it for about 10 years now. The only things that work are not thinking about it or , oddly, conversely , focusing on it...

Headphones don’t work for me, I couldn’t fall asleep with them in and when I take them out the tinnitus is even worse.
Mine isn’t constant thankfully, and is mild most of the time. |
