HYpermobility in my 9 year daughter
HI
My daughter has been finally diagnosed with hypermobility syndrome and she has difficulty standing for long periods. I am off to dis at and universal parks and I am worried about her standing for rides for a. Long time as she has pain in her legs and hips. My question is do you think she will qualify for a DAS card and do I need to bring proof of it on a hospital letter? MAny thanks |

You also have to think about the amount of walking that she will be doing and it may be better to think of a wheelchair for her?

DD is nearly 7(tommorrow!) and she is hypermobile, we use a major stroller for her at the parks to make it easier for her. DD had a DAS as she has lots of other problems too.
As far as i know they cannot look at letters from drs, but you can always ask. We get ours from AK or HWS as we usually visit a less busy park first. You may need to carefully work out your plans for the day to avoid walking too far, we usually only do half days too to give DD a rest. X Edited at 06:24 AM. |

My DD was diagnosed with hypermobility, she also has ASD, she really really struggles with the distance walking around WDW, I would highly recommend hiring a wheelchair or one of there large strollers from the park, as long as you take proof of diagnosis I'm sure they should be able to accommodate your daughters needs

You shouldn't have any problem getting tie DAS card and they don't require proof of condition
I was diagnosed with Hypermobilty Syndrome when I was a teen after a number of dislocations and I was and still do have very weak knees from hyperextention. not a fun condition to have ☹️ I hope your DD copes well and enjoys her time on holiday xx |
