First day park
Hi,we fly out 22nd May and really struggling to make a plan! We are a group of 8 with the youngest being 8 years old. Can anyone start me off by suggesting a park to do on our first day! We have Disney and universal tickets. Any help and advice would be appreciated !

We like animal kingdom. Good mix of thrills with expedition Everest mixed with things like the safari for when tiredness kicks in.
Plus Tusker house character breakfast is a great start to the holiday. |

We found that our girls always want to be in Mk on our first day. We go to crystal palace for a character meal and book the earliest available. That way we get to have a walk down a fairly empty Main Street before the park opens. We love it and always feel like we have arrived in the disney magic as soon as we see the castle!

We are off to Animal Kingdom on our first day this year, starting with Tusker House for breakfast.

If you're staying on site I would make use of the EMH as you'll be up early anyway. If not I'd go to whichever park is most recommended on the busy day guide.

For me we always have at least two trips to Magic Kingdom so we always go there first, I suppose everyone's different but for me it's the ultimate Disney park and you can really feel the 'magic' there. Going to MK first really gets you in the Disney mood and you start your holiday on a high. That being said all the parks are great so you can't go too wrong! X

Last time we had our onsite night at Universal at the start of the trip but otherwise I always start our first full day at Magic Kingdom. I also recommend booking a pre-park opening for Crystal Palace.
