What is your favourite part of a holiday?

The day after we arrive at the villa, I wake up and feel the warmth look out into the pitch black as I always wake up early and think, two weeks of sunshine and relaxing lovely. I miss the heat on my bones and the sun on my skin😪

It’s hard to pick just one but I think my favourite part is the few minutes when I arrive at the villa/hotel room and are looking round for the first time. I’ll usually do a walk through video before unpacking to send to my family WhatsApp group. The excitement at the start of the holiday is a lovely feeling.

I love the airport hotel, hoppa bus, airport breakfast, aeroplane, getting the hire car, driving past various points, supermarket shopping... basically everything!

I love sitting in the airport having g breakfast and having a nosey around the terminal. That excitement of waiting for boarding 🙂

Getting up on the first morning in the villa ,while everyone else is still asleep, and watching the sunrise .

Not a lover of flying all times, plus then car hire (which we always do) isn’t hard but my holiday hasn’t started yet, but it’s nearly there.

So for me it’s getting to our accommodation, wherever it is. Dumping bags, travel done. Holiday is now officially starting.

I’m not a great flyer either but I do like being at the airport so I can start people watching !

My favourite bit is boring compared to everyone else’s, but here goes: my favourite bit is joining the motorway on the way to the airport the day before a flight. I have the people I love in the car with me and every second of my holiday to come. I’ve just left my everyday life behind me and I usually feel a moment of perfect contentment.

In Florida it’s the traditional first breakfast at Golden Corral, I know I’m “home” then.
