One of my best friends bought his wife a kitchen sink put a bow on it with a card for Christmas. To be fair they were having a new extension but she didn't see the funny side however they are still married.

DH always likes his trousers with a razer sharp crease down them, so I bought him a trouser press on his birthday, he did nothing but moan that it was a pressie for me rather than him as it would save me time having to press them with a damp cloth, surprisingly we are still married LOL

My husband is a romantic, all flowers and jewellery, so I was surprised one year when he bought me some black underwear.
Black, thermal underwear. Seems I had been complaining quite a bit about being cold.🥶 He came home a few months ago and announced he had bought me a present. I was taken aback as it was not a special occasion. He handed the gift saying "I know you like this" and I received a bottle of Wright's Coal Tar Pump handwash! I actually love the stuff but my beloved thinks the bars are too messy hence the surprise. Sometimes the most unromantic gifts are the best because it shows how well your other half knows you. ❤ |

A set of new kitchen knives - definitely not romantic and could have been extremely dangerous if it wasn't what I wanted
BTW still using them and not on him

I received a non stick frying pan for Valentine’s Day. Practical and used regularly. Nothing says it better than giving someone a frying pan ... obvs.

My uncle bought my aunt a shotgun! 😳 They used to run a farm and he bought it for her to use if any dogs/foxes were bothering their animals. My aunt had never handled a gun, so uncle kept it for himself and called aunt ungrateful! 😂
Worst present I have had was a Slanket off DH in pink, I don’t do pink and never ever said I wanted a Slanket, I remind him yearly that it wouldn’t be wise to buy me another! Jane 😊
