The DVC Owner represents and warrants that the following information is complete and accurate with respect to the DVC Owner:
Am I'm reading that right, as couldn't that now place an owner who had rented premium points at say 10-months but due to Force Majeure at say 6-months, has to cancel and return all 70% of funds to the intermediary.

If so, the owner now has non-premium points, so worth less when renting, with limited availability and maybe not bankable. The owner is now taking a big risk where as before there were none, consequently shouldn't the owner be compensated for now taking on that extra risk.

Maybe the Guest (renter) and/or Intermediary should have adequate insurance cover in the first place, otherwise the owner is now also acting as the insurance with a potential loss.

Exactly this. I think they will struggle with owners wanting to use them going forward.

So what else can I do?

Due to us have to cancel last months holiday the points were 2019 (June), DVC are allowing us to use then until June 2021.

We will not be going back before then, they can't be banked so we will loose them and that is the reason we are going to try and rent.

Loose/loose either way!

If you are renting SSR points at David's then they won't be at the premium price, so no worries there.

It's worth only considering making a booking that's at least 6-months before your end of Use-Year, that gives you a little more flexibility if dates have to be moved. Obviously better if you can make a reservation at 9 or more months but those requests might be few and far bewteen at SSR.

But maybe not in the run up to Christmas so consider making a few reservations on spec for Dec in a studio while there's still a run of nights available. You might be lucky and a request might just match one of your reservations at a later date.

11th Dec onwards is available at SSR but some of those nights might get fully booked up over the coming weeks.

Good luck.
