Outside the parks - Brolly - Disney Springs/going shopping/eating out, between car and shops/restaurant etc.

Inside parks, rain dodging.

We usually buy ponchos from Walmart when we get there. We get the Star Wars ones as they are thicker but still cheap.

Ponchos, buy cheap and you stay dry and can bin them when wet.
Umbrella and you become the hated person in the park.

In the parks neither, in Disney Springs I might use an umbrella.

I think umbrellas in the parks would be a nightmare. I even hate in town trying to avoid getting poked in the eye. I have never been at a rainy time. A couple of heavy showers last September was it and we just got wet. Its very hot so you dry quickly.

I hate ponchos as they are just too hot. For normal rain I use an umbrella. In a thunderstorm with torrential rain, if you are out in it for an extended time, you will still get a bit wet (or worse) with an umbrella, but I still prefer it to a poncho. You can also use an umbrella for some shade if needed too

I took an umbrella - only used it a couple of times too. I had it clipped to the belt loop on my shorts . much easier than having to carry around a poncho in a bag, meaning I avoided having to go through bag check.

We've always used ponchos then last month Tim Tracker said he always uses an umbrella so we packed one.

It was very hot and we had hardly any rain, but the umbrella was fab, no sweating under a plastic bag and easy to pop away after the showers, so umbrella all the way for us now.
